Hi – Index Lenses: In the past, some patients who have more complex prescriptions have had to put
up with thicker, heavier lenses in their spectacles. Thankfully today’s super thin and light weight Hi Index lenses makes them look great and feel
much more comfortable.
Transitions: Transition lenses are fast acting variable tint lenses which darken in sunlight. Indoors they are perfectly clear but outside they rapidly darken
effectively changing them into conventional sunglasses. Transitions are
available in grey or brown tints and offer 100% protection against damaging UVA
and UVB rays.
Lens Coatings: To keep lenses in the best condition, patients can choose to have a
protective coating applied to their lenses. For example a Scotchgard coating
provides an anti scratch and an anti dust surface to the lenses, which also
helps to repel water, grease and dirt. Therefore your lenses remain as clean
and clear as possible at all times.
